Hewitson Minimal Intervention Sangiovese

Wine making over thousands of years has evolved in an effort to make a better wine that is sustainable, fresh, vibrant and most of all a pleasure to drink. In the creation of this wine, knowledge and experience have allowed us to only minimally intervene. Bottled as fresh, nouveau-style, this wine displays all the characteristics that one might expect from this variety.

Deep dark red colour with a bright dark crimson red hue. Aromas of red and sour cherries are intermixed with fresh herbs followed by subtle vanillin cedar and spice. Light to medium bodied the palate has juicy ripe cherry and raspberry flavours over scorched earth, vanillin cedar and spice. Plenty of fresh acidity combines with fine grained tannins on the finish. Aftertaste of spicy ripe cherries, raspberries, vanillin cedar and scorched earth.
