Description
Shottesbrooke – Langhorne Creek
BACKGROUND
Vineyards After experiencing some good winter rainfall in the months leading up to the 2014 vintage, which allowed deep soil moisture to build up, Langhorne Creek was wellpositioned to cope with the hot summer that ensued. The heat was tempered by the region’s typical cooling breezes throughout ripening, which saw the vintage progress relatively unhindered and overall this vintage produced fruit of excellent, aboveaverage quality, showing great balance and depth of both colour and flavour.
Colour: Deep red with crimson hues
Nose: Delightful aromas of cherries and red berry fruit, with nuances of sweet anise.
Palate: Bright, juicy red fruit and supple, round tannins are the hallmarks of this wine. Approachable, soft and balanced, the wine shows, subtle hints of mocha and finishes fine and long.
Cellaring: Now until 2019
Food Match: Chargrilled chicken skewers
