A blend of Shiraz and Merlot that – colour me mad – comes from the Orange region of NSW. While a delicious perfume of summer fruit wafts up from the glass, it’s a mouthful of red berries and citrus that floats across your palate.
But it’s certainly not overwhelming. This is an easy drinking, dry quaffing Rose that’s perfect for saying farewell to summer. Bung one under your arm and take it down to the park to accompany a nicely wrapped parcel of hot potato scallops and calamari, or – if you’re feeling more posh – an antipasto platter.
