Description
Founded in 1851, Janneau produces France’s oldest and most-awarded Armagnac, which is a distinctive grape-based brandy produced exclusively in southwest France. The XO Royal variety, meaning extra old, is aged for at least 10 years in oak barrels before being decanted into a sculptural Basquaise bottle. Once opened, ambrosial notes of fig, prunes and honey flood out and fill the nose, complemented by complex florals and peppery oak on the palate.
